Lake Cleanup – Lake Cortez

The HSV Paddlers Club has completed community service of lake cleanup for the last 3 years.
In case you haven’t seen (or remember) this year’s flyer, we will be having a kayaking cleanup tomorrow, 5-4-24, on Lake Cortez from 11 AM to 3 PM in cooperation with the POA and the Trails Committee. There will be snacks and a social hour after the cleanup is finished.
All of you that can, please join us with your kayaking gear and earn that “Gold Star” for community service.
Kayaks don’t usually have good carrying capacity so please consider towing a tube, bringing extra cords for trash bag tie-down, or other such capacity increasing measures.
So far the weather looks OK for at least the first two hours. If this changes by tomorrow morning, a message will be sent by 10:15 AM advising of any postponement.
