Club Annual General/Membership Meeting

February 17, 2024 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

The Club Annual General/Membership Meeting will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 17, 2024. The meeting place is the same as the last 2 years, the Unitarian Universalist Village Church at 403 Barcelona Rd.  At this general meeting we will discuss procedures and potential events for the upcoming paddling year. There will be a verbal survey for some potential activities such as the Coast Guard Kayak Safety Program (~2 hours).

The Paddlers Club Board has decided that with participation levels of last year it will be best to make both lake and river paddling events less formal. For most events you will not need to make a “reservation”, you will just show up at the assigned meeting place and time. As such there will be no Event Planner and event bulletins will generally not be issued. Notices for paddling activities will be via email and HSVPaddlersClub website.

A vote for the proposed Board of Directors for the Club will be conducted at the beginning of the annual meeting.  Proposed Directors are:  President – Calvin Doody, Vice President – Duane Hecklesberg, Treasurer – Buzz Carpenter, Secretary – Linda Worack, and Trips Coordinator – Debbie Morrison but nominations “from the floor” will certainly be accepted.
Attached is the Club Membership package. Please print out the 2 forms, fill them out, sign/initial where appropriate, and either bring them to the meeting or mail them prior to the meeting as indicated on the form. After a Board review of Club income and expenses, the Club dues will again be $5 for the 2024 year.
